Hailing from Biloxi, Mississippi, and infused with the vibrant energy of New Orleans, Suryah grew up surrounded by gospel, soul, and a deep-rooted passion for music. From an early age, she knew she was meant to create, blending melodies and lyrics into her own artistic foundation.
Her journey to success was anything but traditional. Turning down a prestigious music scholarship, she moved to Atlanta at 18, determined to carve her own path. “There were nights I had nowhere to go, sometimes even sleeping in my car,” she shares—a testament to her unwavering resilience.
Atlanta’s music scene quickly took notice. Working from the legendary Stankonia Studios, she collaborated with industry heavyweights like BIG BOI of OutKast, developing a genre-blurring sound that fuses House, R&B, Techno, Jazz, Gospel, and Alternative Pop. But Suryah is more than just a musician—she’s a visionary. A self-taught stylist, beauty enthusiast, and creative force, she effortlessly merges fashion, hair, and content creation into her artistry.
A true “Jill of All Trades”, Suryah isn’t just wearing multiple hats—she’s creating them. With a magnetic presence and unstoppable drive, she’s setting her sights on major stages like Essence, Coachella, and Bonnaroo, while making waves in beauty and fashion.
Suryah isn’t just an artist—she’s a movement. And she’s just getting started.
