   The following guidelines will help you with the preparation of your model: Short or long hair is allowed. Ceramic pressing is allowed on no more than 1/4 of the completed hair style. Extensions and wigs are not allowed. Hair has to be chemical free, i.e., no texturizers, no relaxers or any product that permanently alters the natural curl pattern of the hair. Permanent and temporary hair color is allowed. Hair adornments are allowed.

   Rules that apply to all who enter any of World Natural Hair Health and Beauty Show competitions:

   - Competitors (Stylist/Barber) and their respective competing models will be granted complimentary entry into the show the day of their respective competition only. Any additional members (up to 6) of competitors team must pay 1/2 of general admission cost.
   - All competitors must be in the prep area on time. A 15 minute grace period is given, however this will NOT be granted as extra time.
   - Only Competitors, along with their models & makeup artists will be allowed in the competition prep area.
   - A completed style cannot be entered into any of the competitions.
   - For Natural Hair, and Loc competitions, 3/4 or less of the model's hair can be finished prior to entering the competition prep area. 1/4 of the model's hair must be completed in the competition prep area, during the competition prep time. 160 minutes (2 hours 40 minutes) prep time will be allotted for both of these competitions. During which time, all models complete style, dress and make-up must be done. Each stylist will be allotted 3 minutes presentation time on competition stage.
   - The Barber competition's prep time will be 90 minutes (1 1/2 hours). During which time, barbers will be allotted 60 minutes to cut, dress and prepare their models in the competition prep area and 30 minutes group time, on stage to complete their model(s) hair cut. Each barber will be allotted 3 minutes presentation time on the competition stage.
   - Competitors must supply their own tools needed to style their model's hair (clippers, combs, shears, mirrors, capes, products, etc). Show management will not be responsible for any property left in the competition prep area.
   - Competitors may enter as many models as desired provided entry fee has been paid for each model. ($150 Natural Hair & Loc Competitions; $75 Barber Competition)
   - Models can be male or female and must sign model release form during competition prep time.
   - The model cannot be the stylist nor can the stylist be the model.
   - During stage presentation model will be judged from head to toe, hair, clothes, shoes, make-up style and presentation. Models clothes should reflect the hairstyle created.
   - The International 30 point scoring system will be used to select the winners. Judging will be done on a visual basis only.
   - The decision of the judges will be final.
   
   

   Important: Show management reserves the right of final interpretation of rules and guidelines in all competitions. Early registration is vital. A $25 late registration fee will be charged for all onsite registrations. Cash prizes are issued based on the amount of entry fees received for the respective competitions. Natural Hair & Loc competitions must have at least 12 entries. Barber competition must have at least 14 entries. If the minimum amount of entries are not met, cash prizes will be adjusted based on the amount of entry fees for the respective competition. If any competition is cancelled for any reason, any and all refunds will be issued, by check, 7-10 business days after the show has concluded. All competition skits, concepts will be subject to screening by show management. If a contestant is disqualified for any reason, no refund will be issued. No exceptions.
