My hair is beautiful is program designed for  Through a series of workshops, our goal is to EMPOWER girls 5-18 years old by teaching them to embrace what they see when they look into the mirror.  We teach them an “I am beautiful” creed to memorize which affirms their beauty each time they look in the mirror. If time allows, we teach them to walk with confidence.  By carrying yourself in a way that commands respect, we believe it decreases the potential for bullying or disrespect.
We discuss the importance of moisturizing, detangling, nighttime management, and often give product recommendations.  In addition, we discuss the necessity of healthy hygiene habits and often will include samples that each attendee will take with them.
