World’Äôs Next Top Natural Hair Model ’Äì Ebony Cogdell

Ebony Vanessa Cogdell was crowned 2012 World's Next Top Natural Hair Model on September 9, 2011 live on stage at the World Natural Hair, Health and Beauty Show Fashion Show. She is the second winner of this prestigious title. When asked what she looks forward to as the World's Next Top Natural Hair Model she replied:

"I look forward to inspiring others to see the beauty and versatility of natural hair. I look forward to serving as a realistic example, particularly for young women and showing them that being natural is being stylish and elegant."

Ebony was born in Augsburg Germany and currently resides in Myrtle Beach, SC. Ebony earned her Masters of Art degree in American Studies at the University of Maryland at College Park in 2006. She currently serves as Coordinator of Diversity Programs at Coastal Carolina University in Conway, South Carolina. Ebony was recently married to James Brandon Cogdell on October 1, 2011. Ebony is beautiful both inside and out. She is full of wit, humor and a talent for spoken word.
